This was to be a study for a large piece I'm working on. Now the rat isn't going to be in the painting at all, leaving me with an image that feels not fully realized, as though its half an idea. Anyway. I kinda like the study. Maybe I'll find another image to insert this one into. All of this does reveal the cut-and-paste way I often go about creating an image. Folks do the same thing with photoshop these days.
